Guys,
I could really use your help.
I have acquired a 79 10th Anniversary Trans Am from an estate sale and pulled it out of a barn where it has been sitting for 8 years after restoration.
It's 90% done.
New paint, new drivetrain, brakes, lines, exhaust, etc.
Needs some electrical, matching T-tops and Dash area.
Here is the great but the odd thing.
Instead of painting the interior molds a factory color, someone stitched leather and glued it over.
The leather is silver like the seats and looks good!
I'll insert a few pictures.
What I don't know.
Does this detract from the value or add?
If it adds to the value, should I pay for a leather Dash from Justdashes.com for $1400, or get a factory vinyl Duplicate from eBay that uses new molded vinyl for $1000?
I'm new to this and want to spend my money wisely.
I'm trying to get the most value for my car when I am done.
