Blueprint 383 Engine in an '87 PTA

Hey everyone,

New to this forum, but my Dad and I are replacing the engine in an '87 FTA with a Blueprint 383 engine.

Has anyone done this and can give us any pointers?

Specifically, about fit (it looks like the height may be an issue with existing motor mounts) and if you've successfully used the existing exhaust manifold with the new engine, understanding will decrease the new engine's HP slightly.

We were not planning on changing the front cradle.

Are we going to have to modify the hood?

You will need either a new hood or a low intake to get the hood to close.

It's a tight fit!
