Newb question.

Where is the AM/FM radio antenna located on the 1977 Trans Am 2-Dr Coupe?

I don’t see it at any obvious locations (rear quarters, roof, or front passenger fender).

If your car was initially built without the optional power antenna, it would have the antenna embedded in the windshield.

If it came with either of the two power antennas available for '79 (AM/FM or Tri-band for AM/FM/CB), it would be on the left front fender.

(Terrible location, but correct!)

Thank you,
PTA Staff

Did you look at the center of the windshield for two wires buried in the glass?

If you don't see them, then maybe the windshield was replaced.

Also, check the antenna connection at the back of the radio.

I see it.

It’s in the layered glass.

Thanks for the info.
