My brother-in-law has a 1989 Trans Am GTA.

The fuel injectors won’t fire.

They have power and are constantly grounded.

Put noids on to check and no blinking.

Checked continuity from injector to ECU connector.

The wires are good.

The problem is I have continuity from the injector ground to the correct pin on the ECU end of the harness and continuity to 3 or 4 other pins.

Is there a relay or something I am missing?

The engine runs on an alternative fuel source.

Have you pulled out an injector to make sure they are spraying fuel?

Thank you,
PTA Staff
I put a noid on several injector connectors, and it doesn’t blink, telling me the driver isn’t grounding.

Since posting the original question, I discovered that the ignition switch had been replaced.

It doesn’t have a resistor key.

It has a VAT module.
