Most people probably don't fool with replacing their factory washer pumps.

But thought I'd post the one I found that works great and is made in the USA.

Be aware that 78-79 and 80-81 had different switch wiring, and the wiper motors/pumps were similar with the change.

Aftermarket may work for either; it's just for those to keep an eye on when swapping parts.

I took the wiper motor off, believing it to be original; it had traces of blue undercoating, so I cleaned it up and painted it silver.

I was about to say that one's been painted silver.

Just saw the reply under it!

Many reco units also have silver paint over the rubber grommet seal and worn plating.

They had the part number and year, as if their original label was on it.

Often replacements might be the same but feature updated part numbers and year, or no year at all.
