I've been trying to find my Little Pipe Wrench for days...
It's time to break down and buy a new one.
I hope I can find MADE IN USA on one.
Thanks, Knightrider.
After sitting for 32 years, the Factory radiator in the 74 455 leaked like Niagara Falls.
I figured I change the Water Pump before putting in the COLD CASE, but the head on the Bolt that goes through the alternator bracket was totally
stripped.
Ground it off and heat it 4 times, but it won't...
I measured the Old Links from Weld to Weld 9 - 3/8".
New Links I bought 9 - 3/4".
Does anyone know the actual factory length for 74 455 13/16 " dia Rear Sway Bar.
I thought 74 had the 1 Bolt Links.
I guess it was a transition year, some old style, some new style.
Thanks, One and All,
Mart
My 74 T/A has the 2 bolt bottom clamps on the links from the factory.
I ordered new Links, but they're a 1/2" too long.
Will a 1/2" be enough to mess up
Handling and Ride?
Or should I send them back?
Thanks, One and All.
Mart
Do I have these correct or backwards?
Back: Inlet from Tank
Front: Outlet to Carb
I replaced all the dry rotted rubber, but still no fuel to Carb.
Thanks,
Mart
The 74 455 T/A I shipped up from TN a few weeks ago is not getting gas to the Carb.
I put a new rubber hose from the metal line into the pump and a new fuel pump.
It has set in a garage since 1992.
I'll check other hoses and, I guess, drop the tank.
Has anyone else had this problem with one...
I'm trying to get 2-1/2" Flowmaster tailpipes on my 455 74, but they aren't cooperating.
Is there a trick to getting them to go on?
Thanks One and All,
Mart
