I am The proud owner of a 1982 Pontiac RECARO TransAm. Knowing that there was only 2000 or so of this special edition release, makes my TA very special to me and hopefully of interest to you as well.
Now, that is 2024, my TA is 42 years old!
It remains in original condition and only has approximately 50,000 miles.
It has been garage kept for it's entire 42 years.
When I purchased it in 1982 there were two engine/transmission combinations available. I opted for the 5.0 liter Cross Body Fuel Injection combined with the Automatic transmission.
As you can tell by the very low mileage the car has not been driven extensively.
