Hello! I am also new.

I just purchased the long-time car of my dreams.... a 1979 silver limited edition 403 Olds.

It runs but needs lots of love as it has been sitting for years.

(One owner, 18,000 original miles).

I am not a mechanic but generally mechanically inclined, so I bought some old shop manuals and want to give it a go myself.

Where do I start? I was thinking hoses, valves and all the connections are loose, and the rubber is cracked and crumbly.

Where can I buy the kits I need to replace and repair?

My local auto retail store has been very disappointing.
