Took pictures from under of the car.

Didn’t come out so well.

Two lines are coming out of the top of the gas tank.

One curls all around and eventually ends on rear driver side by the frame (open-ended, just hanging there); the other goes to the front.

Not sure if this is the correct setup.

It seems like there should be something on the line that hangs there open.

Brackets. (edit) So I believe these brackets would be for the muffler to hang from. I do not have a muffler. I have two glass packs under the car.

OK, I got the Chilton book out (see photo below).

In my photo above, the orange line is the fuel vapor line, and it should go to the front of the car, but I am not sure what it goes to.

According to the book, My blue line from the photo above should be the supply AND return line, but my car only has one line going to the car's front.

The car was running well until I accidentally cut the gas line while cutting the rear floor pan out.

Any help figuring this out is greatly appreciated.

Can you give a little more info on your car?

Year, make, model, etc.

So I ran a new line from the tank to the fuel pump.

Also ran a line from the tank (with some twists and some turns about (8' long)) to just behind the driver side rear tire (for fuel vapor).

It is just an open-ended line.

I did not put it in a canister.

The car seems to be running fine. Not sure how "Legal" that is.
