I've had three TTAs; a 1981 SE, a 1981 Pace Car, and now a 1980 SE. I always wanted to upgrade a TTA, so I purchased a low-mileage one in excellent condition last year. It's wholly disassembled in my garage with upgrades in the process.
FYI, the original 301T is getting custom headers, stage 3 turbocharger upgrade, and FITech EFI. Front suspension is tubular upper and lower control arms with poly bushings.
The rear suspension is upgraded leaf with Delron bushings.
I'm switching out my TH350 in favor of a 5-speed to makedriving fune. I'm upgrading to the current Vintage air conditioning.
The frame is rust-free.
I used POR-15 for the engine compartment. I'm switching to solid body bushings as well. I'm always looking for feedback if anyone has done a similar project.
