I received an odd phone call last Saturday. I guy called me; I think his name was Jeffery; he tells me that there is a body shop with a real 1970 ram air IV Trans am there in Wisconsin.
He tells me he did some digging and found me.
And I that I have the original engine to the car.
He proceeds to tell about this car; he knows the body shop, however, not the car owner.
He tells me that my Ram Air IV engine block is the VIN numbered block to this 1970 Trans Am.
He was nice enough, a big Pontiac collector for 40 years.
He wants to know if and for how much I would sell my engine.
I told him that would be between the owner of the car and me.
He pressed multiple times for a price, and I told him I don't deal with brokers or middle men. I have also been collecting Pontiacs for almost as long.
The question is, does anyone know what this guy is talking about?
I have the matching block to a real Ram Air IV Trans Am in some random restoration shop in Wisconsin.
Does anyone know this car and its owner?
